Matilda Jane Make Believe Review

Matilda Jane Clothing October Launch

I still remember my very favorite nightgown as a little girl. It was shiny and fancy with ruffles at the shoulders and lace trim. Except I could never sleep in it.

Oh, I’d try. But I’d always get in trouble for it.

The repercussion of wearing my fancy nightie was severe.

How irritating! The nightgown, that is.

You see, the seams were scratchy,  itchy, and the fabric didn’t breathe at all. It was unbearable and unwearable. They couldn’t seem to get fancy sleepwear right in 80’s, could they?

I think that’s why I’m so excited about the Matilda Jane line of clothing and went on to sell it this season.

I mean. These jammies. There are so many Christmas styles this season, and they are all soft and comfy as can be. They even have a pair for us grown gals, too. The fabric? HEAVEN.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review
They even have the most AH-dorable coordinating sleeping bags. Can you just imagine these under the Christmas tree? Maybe for a pre-Christmas sleepover under the lights, or as a gift wrapped up under the tree.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review=

But I’m also so excited for some of the layering pieces this season. This sweater? Thick and warm, with a cloud soft sherpa-style lining.

I love how all of these pieces mix and match and coordinate – like how the fabric from Eve’s dress is seen again in the pockets of ‘Belle’s.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

And can we talk about this yellow jacket? And those tights? These would be perfection on the family Christmas Card.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

The blue dress on ‘Belle here is an A+ in twirl factor, and the fabric, while winter themed, is not too overtly “Christmas” and will take her from now until spring. My sample is too small for her, thus no twirl pics.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

Eve’s top has a fun swing cut to it, and she is still loving the jeggings we got her last spring. They are a must-have closet staple -especially for girls who don’t love the fit of regular denim.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch ReviewMatilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

One thing I love about Matilda Jane is that each piece lasts me at least 2-3 years, per girl. And then it still is in excellent condition for another 2-3 years as a hand-me-down for little sister. Outgrown dresses make adorable tunics and later, tops. Eve’s tops fit ‘Belle as a dress.

If you look carefully in the photos below, you can see how cute Eve’s tunic above is working as a dress.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

Why, oh why didn’t I get a full shot of this outfit?! Eve’s dress is even more stunning in person than my photo shows. The green is such a pretty color, and her Go On flower socks are totally adorbs paired with her booties. Just trust me on this.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review

I really wasn’t planning on getting in on this photo shoot, but when Eve offered, I jumped on the opportunity. We moms don’t  get in the frame nearly enough! And this clothing line isn’t just for girls. There are so many fabulous items in the women’s line. I love the flattering colors in this green top, which coordinates with the dresses earlier in the post.Matilda Jane Make Believe October Launch Review
