Good Clean Summer Fun
Thank you to Kemps for sponsoring this post, DIY Ice Cream stand. All opinions are my own.
School’s out for summer! This week the kids and I started tackling our summer bucket list, and at the very top of our goals was “eat lots of ice cream.”
If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you know we are very serious about our ice cream. So it should come as no surprise that, on our first day out of school, Eve decided she wanted to DIY a free ice cream stand. We made our stand with inexpensive poster board and a simple tablecloth.
She made invitations to pass out down the street.
We shopped together for the best ingredients: sugar cones, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, nuts and maraschino cherries.
For the ice cream, we filled a bucket with ice, and pre-scooped the ice cream so all she had to do was “scoop” a pre-portioned amount of ice cream into a cone.
We decided on Kemps Yo2 frozen yogurt. Eve liked the flavors like Mudslide and Chocolate Peanut Butte Fudge; I liked the clean ingredients.
This frozen yogurt has no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors, and no added growth hormones. Any day that I can have salted caramel with a little less guilt is a good day.
The result is the cutest little kid-crafted ice cream stand you ever did see.
Making the stand was a fun way to spend a lovely afternoon outdoors. But of course, the best part was the taste testing.
Check out this sweet video of our ice cream stand magic.
Then, you’ll want to be sure to head to Jewel to grab one of their decadent flavors – don’t forget to grab this $1 coupon!
What an adorable idea! I’ve seen lemonade stands, cookie stands, popcorn stands, but never an icecream stand for kids!
This is SO cute! What a great idea.
I’ve been meaning to try this!!! We usually make our own but sometimes that is a little more work than I want to do!
Oh my this is the cutest thing ever!!!! I wish I had little kids I would make this “for them” ahahah but really for me. <3
