Easy DIY Custom Pencils for BTS

I really don’t care to admit  to myself that summer vacation is nearly over. However, in just a few weeks the kids are going back to school, and they are not very excited about it.

Per usual for this time of year, I like to help cheer them (and myself) up with fun lunchbox notes and other fun BTS swag.

This year, I thought it would be fun to share some smiles with our little neighbor friends, in the form of some custom DIY school supplies.

Fortunately, this is about the easiest gift ever.

I started with  some fun 3D erasers. I used a drill bit the size of my pencils (5/16″ bit) to slowly drill the bottom of each eraser to fit a pencil. And by slowly, I mean it took about 10 seconds per eraser. So, still a super quick DIY.

I brainstormed some inspiring and motivational sayings and had them etched on a variety of colors of pencils from GiftsForYouNow:

• You Got This
• Crushed It
• Get it Girl
• Mountain Mover
• Work Hard. Be Kind.
• Too Legit to Quit

Then I created a number of multicolor gift sets. Just like that, they are great enough to gift on their own. But with our custom eraser pencil toppers, they are totally tricked out.

I taped ours to some colorful notebooks with washi tape, but you could also tie them up with some ribbon for a picture perfect gift presentation.
