4 Favorite FINDS FOR FEELING FESTIVE DURING THE HOLIDAYS
This post, Holiday Survival Guide for Moms, is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com. All opinions are my own.
Hey Moms, are you still with me? How are you holding up? Yes, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, but this home stretch of the season is always HARD.
Amid all the wonderful tasks on our lists, baking, shopping, wrapping, packing….it’s easy to feel completely burnt out by the time Christmas arrives.
Today, I invite you take a small break from your ever-growing task list. I’m sharing a few things on my own little holiday survival guide.

Smell
As adults, we have to work a little harder to savor little moments and traditions to put us in the spirt of the season. Baking cookies, wrapping gifts, Random Acts of Kindness, and driving around looking at Christmas lights are all ways that we do that.
One thing that is making such a big difference this year is ScentSicles Scented Ornaments and Table Ornaments. These magical scented products give an insane smell payoff for the small size. In recent years, our family has used an artificial tree, purely for practical reasons, but I truly have missed the smell of a fresh tree. This year, I’ve got some of my Christmas mojo back (without the mess!) thanks to these.
The Ornaments are designed to hang and hide in trees, garland and other holiday decor. The Table Ornaments are decorative glass bowls with a silver lid and filled with fragranced paper filler. Both will fill your home with the smell of Christmas. Two of my favorite scents are White Winter Fir and Spiced Pine Cones.
I’m so impressed that I picked some up for gifting. You can do the same with a special offer: Through 12/31/18 get free shipping. Plus get $5 off a purchase of $30 or more with code BABBLEBOXX; get $1 off of one item with the code BABBLEBOXX1. (coupons not valid on bundles).
Sip
There’s nothing better than curling up in pj’s and Prosecco and a sappy Christmas movie on a cold winter’s night. For this reason, it’s on my list of holiday survival products.
Cinzano Prosecco is a dry sparkling wine that is fresh and fruity with intense floral aromas. My favorite way to serve it right now is with peach puree.
Prosecco Bellini
- 3 parts Cinzano Prosecco
- 1 part fresh peach puree
- Pour all ingredients into a chilled flute glass. Stir gently, If desired, use a rock candy stirrer. 🙂
It’s on my list for another practical reason – holiday gifting. It’s the universal gift that is equal parts thoughtful and useful for so many occasions. It’s perfect for gifting teachers, neighbors, hostesses, and for those awkward “what-in-the-world-do-I-give-her” situations.
Best of all, wine can be given as-is, with a pretty bow or bag, or given a more special treatment, here. Find 10 more creative ideas for gifting wine here.
Taste
Every year since I can remember, my father has gifted my mother chocolate covered caramels for Christmas. The little chocolate shoppe he used to get them from has long since closed, and we’ve never been able to find caramels we’ve loved as much…which is why I was so excited to discover Fran’s Gray and Smoked Salt Caramels. Just, wow. It’s no wonder they’ve had critical acclaim as some of the top artisanal confections in the US.
Not only do these deserve a solid place in your holiday survival kit, but these salted caramels would be an amazing gift for just about any one on your list.
The next one I want to share is purely selfish – because this My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream is all mine. My kids are obsessed with it, so it takes some careful sleuthing to hide these babies in the back of the freezer to enjoy when they are out of site.
Hey, whatever it takes to keep us moms going, right?
