One reason I especially love our neighborhood is because amid our connecting patchwork of suburban yards is where we all come together. When the weather is warm, our backyards are where we exchange friendly “hellos,” chat while the kids play together, share a drink – and a few laughs.Chill and grill for a laid back summer barbecue. First, I had to create a fun tablescape. I hit up the Target dollar spot and found some colorful tablecloths that were begging for an upgrade. Chillin' and Grillin' Backyard Barbecue: Tutorial for turning a dollar store tablecloth into a custom memory blanket for gatherings.I hit up my local fabric store armed with a 1/2 off coupon and walked out with a great tassel embellishment.Chillin' and Grillin' Backyard Barbecue: Tutorial for turning a dollar store tablecloth into a custom memory blanket for gatherings.

Also on the menu was Pesto Pasta Salad, fruit, mango red onion salsa, and Coca-Cola™. Sometimes it’s the little things, like kicking back, watching the sun set, and sharing an ice cold Coke. Chill and grill for a laid back summer barbecue.
