No Candy Easter Basket Ideas

This is an #AD from Hasbro.

Poll: what was your favorite Easter gift? Our Easter Bunny mostly left candy, so the year he brought me roller skate adapters for my tennis shoes was an exciting one! As parents, I think we’re always trying to re-create that magic, and today’s post is all about that.

Easter is a special holiday in our house, and one that we want to make memorable for our kids each year. This year, for example, we spent time trying to naturally dye brown Easter eggs using various vegetables and made some special memories together!

Each year I try to put together a special Easter basket filled with fun surprises for the kids. But, in my effort to fill it with non-sugary treats…I wind up buying things that get opened, tossed, and forgotten within days.

This year, I was so excited when Hasbro sent me a box of goodies filled with some super fun Easter gift ideas that I know will get lots of use, long after the holiday is over.

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas

They received two My Little Pony Smashin’ Fashion sets that have been a big hit!

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas My Little Pony Smashion Fashion Set Sunset Shimmer

The My Little Pony Smashin’ Fashion Sunset Shimmer includes a Sunset Shimmer pony that can be posed on 2 legs or 4! She comes with 7 rock star-inspired fashion accessories including guitar, boots, sunglasses, hair bow, and two dresses. The Smashin’ Fashion sets also include extra accessories in Smashin’ Packs.  Place them one-by-one on a flat surface and smash it to see it expand, then POP! The bag will pop to reveal a character-inspired fashion accessory and friendship balloon. So fun!

They also got two friends for her Sunset Shimmer Pony in the My Little Pony Smashin’ Fashion Pinkie Pie and DJ Pon-3 set. These ponies come with 24 fashion accessories, including four Smashin’ Packs with balloons! The girls loved opening the Smashin’ Packs and then mixing and matching all the fun fashion accessories.

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas Baby Alive Sunshine Snacks

‘Belle loves Baby Alive, so she was soo excited to get this Baby Alive Sunshine Snacks Baby. It’s the first Baby Alive doll to feature both feeding and water play! With the included solid reusable doll food, ice pop mold and stick, kids can make popsicle shapes to feed the doll. The click-change diaper flap also makes changing-time a breeze for this baby doll that eats and goes potty. Simply pop open the flap, empty it, then play again!

It includes a removable swimsuit top and sarong so it’s ready for water play in the tub or pool, and also includes, sunglasses, and gladiator sandals. We’ll get many hours of play with this sweet doll!

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas FurReal

My animal lover loves her furReal toys, and was very excited to add the furReal Flitter the Kitten to her small collection!

furReal pets are interactive with color-change eyes that reveal their moods. For example, when they’re sleepy, their eyes are blue; when green, you know they’re hungry. You can feed them with their included treats, or press their back button to flap their wings. In addition to Flitter the Kitten, you also can add Airina the Unicorn to your furry friend collection!

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas Foosketball

We love family game night, and are excited to add Foosketball to our rotation. It’s a fast-paced game combining foosball and basketball. It takes a fun blend of both skill and luck to control the Foosketball figure and shoot balls into the basket—which makes it the perfect game for everyone in the family to play.

No Candy Easter Basket Ideas Play Doh Kitchen Creations Grill N Stamp Playset

I have to admit, I was excited about this one, because I always wanted PLAY-DOH food sets as a kid. The Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Grill ‘N Stamp Playset has gotten a lot of mileage in this house! You can make PLAY-DOH burgers, hot dogs, and pretend chicken wings with the cutting board book mold. Then, place your pretend meats and veggies on the toy grill, close the cover, and the built-in inkpad will stamp “sear” marks to make your cookout creations actually look like they’ve been grilled (and you can still reuse the PLAY-DOH)!  Kids can also create pretend kabobs with the skewer and lots of other PLAY-DOH toppings. It also comes with six PLAY-DOH colors, spatula, 2 plates, fork, and a knife.

So many affordable and fun options for kids that they will play with again and again. Parents: you can find everything here at most nationwide retailers, and you can learn more at Hasbro.
