It can be hard to get up close and personal here on the blog, but I’ve become more and more convicted that I should share this part of my life. After all, thyroid disorder is increasingly common in America, and yet is still largely misdiagnosed and misunderstood.
I’ve struggled with the affects of this disease for years, and I’m sharing about it today in the hopes that it can help someone else.
For a long time I’ve been meaning to revive a series I started when the blog was very young – a roundup of products I’m loving lately. Today, I’m bringing it back by sharing some amazing beauty products that knock my socks off.
Even better, most of these products can be purchased on Amazon and on your doorstep in two days!
I’ve posted about my love for this product on Instagram before, but it’s worth mentioning again. This foot mask is ah-mazing! Just wear the booties for an hour, and over the next two weeks you’ll experience a true metamorphosis – bringing your feet to the kind of softness you haven’t had since you were a kid.
Now, I’m not a beauty blogger, so I’m not one to tout every little product that comes around. But I’m not exaggerating to say this product is far better than any pedicure I’ve ever had – at a fraction of the price! Just $10 for one treatment.
A little disclaimer: this product WILL make you shed the tough, calloused skin on your feet, so you’ll want to use this two weeks before any special events where you want to show off your feet.
I’m back with a new Halloween-themed tutorial combining two things I’ve been a little obsessed with lately: emojis + nail decals. Really, who doesn’t love emojis? They’re cute AND a stand-alone language. Keep reading to download your own free emoji nail art printable and learn just how easy this is!
Our Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker gets used all. summer. long. We’ve tried and love nearly all the recipes that come with it, and also use it to whip up a few of our own exclusive homemade recipes, as well. Buy it along with the extra freezer bowl at Williams-Sonoma now for just $56 with the 20% discount!
While you’re at it, pick up one of these adorable functional Tovolo Ice Cream containers (that is, if you ever plan on having leftovers!).
On the topic of frozen treats, we’re big fans of these Sunsella Mighty Pops silicone popsicle molds. I like that I can make a healthy frozen smoothie that the kids can have in the car on the way to school or to pack in their lunch box. In the summers, we love to make popsicles and other frozen treats. One of our recent favorites is a refreshing Strawberries and Cream Lemonade Pops recipe that can be found here.
RMS Living Luminizer. This is the holy grail of fresh dewy luminizing makeup – perfect for your summer makeup routine. My skin is dry, and I find that when I stay hydrated and moisturized and use this product my skin looks its best. Just apply a small amount on your cheekbones, brow bones and temples.
Old Navy distressed RockStar denim. These are part of my summer uniform lately. They are the perfect blend of lightweight, stretchy denim that look great with a casual tee or dressed up for GNO – and the price can’t be beat. Remember to size up 1-2 sizes with these!
Last but not least is the Rosy Outlook Planner. No matter how advanced technology is, I still need a paper planner to map out my lists, meetings and reminders. Once I saw this planner I was smitten. It’s only July, but I’ve already pulled the trigger on this 2016 planner laced with inspirational messages, cute stickers and the week by week layout I prefer.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I’m loving lately!
Lately I’ve been trying to make an effort to be more physically active as a family. After all, the family that plays together stays together. Also, losing weight after three babies is no joke. I try to keep a bag packed at all time to grab those quick opportunities to get some gym time. In addition to packing a super simple diaper bag to drop off with the kids at the gym child care center, here are the must-haves I keep in my gym bag (clockwise, from top):
Beats by Dre and my iPhone with Kate Spade case: For listening to my favorite tunes – I love Pandora’s Hip Hop BBQ!
Baggu Classic Tote Bag in bright pink: It’s not your average gym bag, but I love the way this lightweight tote carries a ton, takes up very little space in those tiny gym lockers, and is easy to throw in the wash.
Contigo Autoseal Water Bottle – My absolute favorite water bottle! I have two, and am think about getting another since these are always in use. I love the way this bottle opens only at the touch of a button and seals when the button is released.
Under Armour Braided Headband – Since I usually go to a gym in the morning with unruly beadhead, I count on this headband for keeping me somewhat presentable (I use presentable very loosely).
Gym Shoes – These Nike tennis shoes are oldies but goodies. However, lately I’ve been restraining myself now from adding another pair of gym shoes to my collection.
Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor – I’ve had great luck with this monitor and like being able to monitor my heart rate for high intensity interval training.
That’s my gym bag in a nutshell. What do you carry in your gym bag?
