Game day just got sweeter…and spicier…with my new favorite snack recipe: Sweet and Spicy Party Mix.
Whether you’re entertaining guests for the big game, or sharing a movie night with the kids – this quick and easy snack mix is sure to be a winner!
While I do love a good party and like to share my entertaining ideas often, hosting doesn’t have to be complicated. That’s why I love this recipe – it’s great for impromptu gatherings (or just a procrastinating hostess!), because whipping it up is simple.
Start with a popped bag of Orville Redenbacher® Movie Theater Butter popcorn. Then, in a large bowl, mix in 2 cups each of cheese crackers, pretzels, and rice cereal squares.
In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cayenne, paprika, and garlic powder.
Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to evenly coat.
Then, place on a cookie sheet and bake at 250°F. for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
While your party mix is cooking, why not whip up a simple and festive table runner using items from around the house? No one would ever know it was your procrastinating hostess “Hail Mary Play.”

I made this table runner using freezer paper from my panty and electrical tape from my husband’s tool chest, then I added numbered stickers I had on hand.
I made varsity pendant labels using a free font called “Allstar” and printing them out on my printer.
By the time your done with your table runner, the party mix will be ready. Just cool and serve!
Beware: this snack mix goes fast! I recommend making at least two batches if you’re entertaining guests.
